Welcome to Primate Tours, one out of more than 150 tour operators in Uganda!

Primate Tours was founded by Jeroen van Rooij from the Netherlands and Jacque Kamau from Kenya. Both have been living in Uganda for more than 5 years and have been involved in the great success of Chimps' Nest, a mid-class lodge in Kibale Forest NP.

As lodge owners they discovered that Uganda was still in need of another tour operator. A tour operator that can give customers the possibility to choose for quality at a very competitive price but also a tour operator that lets the customer decide what they want to do and how to do it.

We offer carefully designed services for different itineraries through Uganda, and you choose which itinerary and which services you want making it very easy for you and for us to organize your trip resulting in a very competitive price. We offer a service somewhere between a fully tailor made trip (very expensive but more flexible) and a fully pre-designed trip (cheaper but no flexibility).

Because we are only marketing ourselves through this website, have no offices and are both living in Uganda we save many costs. This results in prices even more competitive than the known pre-designed trips offered by many tour operators.

The itineraries and services we have designed for you are carefully put together with the knowledge of experienced drivers and guides, that have been in the field for many years. We make sure the cars used are in good shape and only use drivers and guides we know well.

The accommodations we have selected are known to us and are also well recommended by many guests. The activities we selected in our itineraries are the most popular ones, being done by most visitors to Uganda.
